Anyone paying just a little attention to the dysfunction occurring within the two-party system in America recognizes that somewhere along the line the old adage, "Absolute power corrupts absolutely", is openly and unashamedly in play. Institutional thinking that preserves the power and wealth elected officials have amassed through back-door schemes during their seemingly endless terms in office, at the expense of those they are elected to serve, completely dominates debate, legislation and political posturing. Governing on behalf of the interest of tax paying, morally upright citizens is no longer considered in decision making because officials no longer fear the ballot box. Both parties are equally at fault. Something must be done.
The Conservative Thinker focuses on efforts by real conservatives who operate under conservative ideals and principles. It's a daunting task but the only option we have if we are to take back our Republic and restore morality to a society that was established under the presupposition that putting God first would keep America first.
